Shamrock Report & OMHA Report  - Cindy Staels

- more clinics have been posted on the website, no one is allowed on the bench without the correct qualifications.

-Juvenile teams, 6 possible teams, 2 confirmed.  They need at least 5 teams

-All star game Parkhill Jan 15th Sat 2:00

-New Fighting Penalties - 1st offence 2games, 2nd offence 4games, 3rd offence indefinite suspension where the player will have to go before the board.

-All Coaches must be made aware of this new rule.

Local League Report - Tom Holder - Tim Kunkel attended the meeting

-Fines for games ruled as a no show have increased by $40. There is a table of fines from Novice C at $140 to Midget at $249 that are listed in the LL By-laws. Each of these fines have been increased by $40

-Fines for missing League meetings have been increased from $25 to $50

-Fines for missing the scheduling meeting (each team has to be represented not each centre) are $100 per team

-Bob Pearson suggested Glencoe parents complain about shorter away games (curfew). His main point was Glencoe charges a registration fee based on ice time and perhaps were not getting our moneys worth when it comes time to play our away games. Point from some around the table is a lack of ice time at their rink so a curfew has to be set. Resolution is for each centre to keep track of curfew games this year and the reason and report back for next year.

-Regular season last year started first weekend in Oct. Motion was made for the league to start Oct 2nd of this year and the season is to end on Jan 30/2011. Any games remaining after this date will result in 0 points being awarded (which could affect the standings).

-Regular season scheduling meeting is Sept 20 - 23 (date to be confirmed) at 7pm in Dresden

-Playoff scheduling meeting is Tue Feb 1/2011. A representative from each team (not each centre) is required to be in attendance.

-The league was advised Glencoe will have 1 LL team in each division (Novice thru Midget, Tyke was not included in their request)

-Suspension carry over from league to league (i.e. kid played LL last year and is playing in Shamrock league this year, the suspension carries over. And vice versa)

-Clinics; Aug 23 Trainers refresher in Tilbury, Sept 16 Trainers refresher in Chatham, Sept 19 Level 1 in Leamington, Sept 25 Trainers level 1 in Leamington. All courses on OMHA web site. PRS can now be done on-line through OMHA web site.

-As soon as teams are registered with OMHA, you can call for rule books. Each LL team gets 1 book and each Shamrock team gets 2 books. Just need to call to order books.

-Rule changes regarding fighting; 1st fight 2 games, 2nd fight 4 games, 3rd fight suspended indefinitely and will have a hearing to determine if play again.

-Rule change for instigating fight; ejected from that game plus suspended 3 additional games.

-If your not sure your player is suspended, do not play him/her and check (error on side of caution).

-Elections for 2010/2011 season; President is Terry Goldahwk, Vice President is Al Willie, Treasurer is Bob Pearson, Secretary was not filled so each centre will take a turn alphabetically.

-Next meeting is Sept 14th at 7:30 pm in Dresden (location to be determined)

- we will have a Intermediate Division in the WOGHL league for the first time this year.  Teams will include Glencoe, Ilderton, Mt. Brydges, Parkhill and Kent County Fillies (Ridgetown, Dresden, Blenheim)

-Secured  a Canadian Women’s League game for Saturday Nov 13th.  Game will be around 2-3pm.  Burlington Barracudas VS Toronto - 4 Canadian Olympians will be playing and one local player from Watford, Megan Aarts.
